Do I need identity documents?

Yes, you are required to bring a valid identity document (ID card or passport). All participants must be able to confirm their identity at the entrance if requested by the Organizer or Security Services. Entry may be denied if identity cannot be verified.


Are underage persons allowed to enter the festival?

No, underage persons are strictly not allowed to enter the festival under any circumstances.
GIEGLING AM SEE is an 18+ event. All participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of entry. There are no exceptions.


What are the festival opening hours?

The festival grounds are open continuously from Thursday at 8:00 AM until Monday at 4:00 PM.
Participants may arrive and depart within this time frame, subject to entry procedures and parking regulations.


Can I bring food and drinks onto the festival grounds?

Yes, you are allowed to bring your own food and beverages for personal consumption.
We encourage responsible behavior and environmental awareness. For safety reasons, bringing excessive amounts or commercial quantities is not permitted.


Where are the nearest grocery stores?

The nearest grocery stores are located approximately 15 minutes away by car from the festival site.
If you plan to stay on-site for the entire duration, we recommend organizing your essentials in advance.


Will there be a shop on site?

Yes, there will be a small on-site shop offering festival essentials.
You will be able to purchase basic supplies such as water, snacks, hygiene products, and other necessary items.


Will food be available at the festival?

Yes, food will be available on site throughout the entire event.
Food trucks will operate during the day and evening, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.


What kind of food will be available?

The food offering will include:
- Vegan dishes
- Vegetarian meals
- Meat-based meals
We aim to provide a diverse selection suitable for different dietary preferences.


Is it allowed to make my own grill or BBQ?

No, personal grills and BBQs are strictly not allowed.
For safety and fire prevention reasons, private cooking equipment using charcoal, gas, or open flame is prohibited.


Is open fire allowed anywhere on the festival grounds?

No, open fire of any kind is strictly prohibited throughout the entire festival area.
This includes bonfires, fire pits, torches, charcoal grills, gas burners, candles, or any flame-producing devices.


Can I swim in the lake?

Yes, swimming in the lake is allowed during daytime only.
Professional lifeguards will be present during the day to supervise the designated swimming area.
Swimming at night is strictly prohibited.
Please note that swimming is always at your own responsibility. Each participant assumes full responsibility for their safety when entering the water.


Can I enter the festival grounds by car?

You may enter the festival grounds with a vehicle only if you have purchased a valid Camper Pass.
We strongly encourage participants to park their cars outside the main festival grounds to preserve space inside for camper vehicles and necessary infrastructure.


Where is the parking located?

The parking area will be located near the festival entrance.
The maximum walking distance from the parking area to the entrance is approximately 15 minutes.
Please follow signage and staff instructions upon arrival.


Who owns the land where the festival takes place?

The land on which GIEGLING AM SEE takes place is owned by the Fundacja Instytut Empatii, which operates the Pegasus animal sanctuary on the property.
Pegasus is a sanctuary dedicated to supporting and protecting animals in need. By hosting the event on this land, we are guests of the Foundation and respect its mission and values.

How do payments work at the festival?

Payments on site can be made:
- Using a festival wristband, which can be topped up at designated charging points,
- Using payment cards (where applicable).
We recommend topping up your wristband early to avoid waiting times.


What happens to unused funds on festival wristbands?

Unused funds remaining on festival wristbands are non-refundable.
Any unspent balance will be fully transferred to the Fundacja Instytut Empatii in support of the Pegasus sanctuary, which is the host of the event location.
By participating in the festival and using the cashless system, you acknowledge and accept that unused funds will be treated as a voluntary contribution to the Foundation and its statutory activities.


Will there be a garbage deposit?

Yes. A garbage deposit of 10€ will be collected upon arrival.
The deposit will be fully refunded on the last day of the festival if you return your garbage bag with your waste properly collected.
This system is designed to maintain cleanliness and environmental responsibility across the festival grounds.


What about toilets and showers?

The festival offers sanitary facilities of a very high standard.
There will be premium sanitary containers as well as showers with hot water available to participants throughout the event.


Is the festival area accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes, people with disabilities are welcome to attend the festival - however, please be aware that the festival takes place on natural terrain that is uneven, rural, and physically demanding. The area is not specially adapted for wheelchair mobility or easy movement.
Participants with mobility limitations should carefully consider these conditions before attending.
